HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!
We can't believe that it is one year ago today (24th September 2022) which is also WORLD CANCER RESEARCH DAY, that The Silk Rags Project was launched nationally at our wonderful local Cauldron Distillery on Tamborine Mountain!
We laughed, we bid at the auction, we won prizes kindly donated by a range of Tamborine Mountain businesses and artists. AND we raised $12,525 towards our kickstarter - an entertaining and educational kit to improve communication strategies when a friend receives a cancer diagnosis.
And, Cauldron Distillery also kindly donated $5 from each 'Silk Rags' cocktail towards our fundraiser. 88 'Silk Rags' cocktails were consumed by our thirsty supporters, meaning that The Cauldron Distillery donated $440!
SO - HERE'S THE FREE RECIPE TO MAKE YOUR VERY OWN 'SILK RAGS' COCKTAIL!
Ingredients:
45ml of Cauldron Distillery Sunset Gin
45ml of home-made Lavender syrup - see a recipe here OR if you are local, you can buy some fresh from Cauldron Distillery (pick up only)
45ml of Lemon juice
Top up with soda
Edible Rose Petals or Rose Persian Fairy Floss
Method:
Half fill a shaker with ice and place all ingredients in
Shake well
Pour liquid into a coupe glass and top up with soda
Garnish with Edible Rose Petals in a line or add Rose Persian Fairy Floss
